Unique Issues the Health Care Industry has with Social Media

There has been a lot of activity surrounding social media and the health care industry has unique issues which must also be taken into consideration. This article discusses the American Medical Association’s (“AMA”) policy issued in November 2011 with guidance on physicians’ use of social media. Although directed to physicians, this guidance is relevant to all health care professionals.
